The EPA released new emission rules to reduce pollution generated by wood burning heaters. These new standards apply to wood stoves, pellet stoves, and wood boilers. Beginning this year, manufacturers must produce wood heaters that are more efficient and cause less pollution.

Evoworld’s wood boilers already meet those standards.

“We have something called secondary combustion where the smoke being emitted from the fire is actually burned,” said Lou Okonski of Evoworld. “If you think of burning wood as a campfire, there’s very little control in that. That’s where the old wood boiler technology was.”
